Medical Protocols and Approaches
While there is no universally agreed-upon protocol for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Systemic Exertion Intolerance Disease (CFS/ME/SEID), some healthcare practitioners and dedicated researchers have undertaken efforts to develop specific approaches or protocols aimed at effectively addressing the complex nature of this condition.
Explore some of the notable practitioners and research groups associated with CFS protocols here.
You can reach to them or share information with your health practitioner. While some protocols may be applicable with reasonable risks by yourself as guided, for others we strongly advice to consult your doctor.
As the medical community continuously strives to enhance its understanding of CFS/ME/SEID, treatment strategies and protocols are subject to ongoing research, advancing techniques, and new discoveries. Here are a few notable practitioners and research groups closely associated with the development of CFS/ME/SEID protocols, whose contributions have significantly influenced the field:

Exploring Holistic and Brain Retraining Programs
Traditional medical approaches to CFS/ME/SEID treatment have faced challenges, leading many to seek alternative therapies. Holistic and mind-body programs have emerged as promising alternatives. By harnessing the power of neuroplasticity and the mind-body connection, these brain retraining programs aim to rewire brain's responses and overcome the challenges of the condition. We always approach holistic programs with an open mind, but also critically evaluate the information and consider evidence-based treatments. While some individuals report benefits, the scientific evidence supporting the effectiveness of these programs for ME/CFS is limited.
Check out the list of some programs that are available for free or via subscription.
After thoroughly reviewing numerous testimonials, it is evident that opinions regarding the effectiveness of brain retraining programs are divided. While some patients reported significant improvements, others claimed to have experienced no discernible changes. Nevertheless, we firmly believe that incorporating brain retraining into the recovery process is crucial, as the central nervous system is involved in perpetuating the intricate cycle of this condition
The scientific evidence and logical reasoning supporting this approach are undeniable, and it is important that we include addressing the brain’s response in our recovery process.
